We have had a great turn out at the Iowa Convention in June. The Raffle we had raised $4,000.00 for the Handicapped Development Center. You all should be proud for what you have done. The winners of the raffle are, GPS - Jamie Lindquist, Wii - Dan Ysseldyke, Weber Gas Grill - Linda Kunel and the Laptop - Roxanne Delany. Congratulations' to all the winners.

July brought about our third annual Eagle Riders State Rally in Sheldon. That was another great rally that brought many riders together to have a good time. Sheldon did a great job and we really like your new place. The rally is a great time for each group to have a chance to show off what they have in there area. We all should be proud of what we have to offer. Remember that in January we will decide on who gets next years State Rally.

September 25th is when the Iowa Eagle Riders will have a meeting after the Western Zone meeting in Des Moines. This will be at 1 p.m. at the Des Moines Aerie and we have many new things to talk about.

Hello Brothers and Sister's, there has been a lot going on here in Iowa and around the Eagles World. First thing I want to talk about is the State Convention. It was nice to see all the Riders that showed up and we had a really good meeting. With every year we have new events and ideas to talk about, so it's good to have a chance for everyone to have a voice. During the State Convention we had our State Raffle drawing. The winners are ( GPS ) Jamie Lindquist, ( Wii ) Dan Ysseldyke, ( Weber Gas Grill ) Linda Kunel and ( Laptop ) Roxanne Delany. Thanks to everyone who bought tickets, we raised $ 4,000.00 to give to the State Charity.

I was at the National Convention in Orlando and was able to meet many Eagle Riders from all over the country. There is many new things in the Eagle Riders world, too many to write about. We need to sit down and discuss these new changes, so I will be having a meeting during the Western Zone Meeting in Des Moines. The Western Zone Meeting is September 23 - 25 at the Des Moines Eagles. I will be having my meeting on the 25 at 1:00 p.m. at the Aerie If you want to come early, you can go to some of the morning meetings and learn what else is going on around the State. I want to invite everyone from around the State to this meeting that is interested in the Eagle Riders. I have some BIG news that I want to share with everyone.

The Burlington Eagle Riders will be having a Poker Run on September 24 at there Aerie. Please check out there web site at www.foeeagleriders.com. While your there, check out some of the other groups to see what they have planned.
